What it does: Automatically logs your Rumi meetings to Salesforce — no manual work needed. Rumi can also push AI-generated next steps straight to your Salesforce records.

What Happens

  1. You have a meeting
  2. Rumi generates your summary and next steps
  3. The meeting automatically appears as an Event on the matching Opportunity, Account, or Lead in Salesforce
  4. If automatic next steps is enabled, your follow-up action items are written to the record too

That's it. ✨

How Rumi Finds the Right Record

Rumi uses participant email addresses from your meeting to search your Salesforce:

  1. Exact email match — Looks for a Contact whose email matches a participant's email exactly
  2. Company domain match — If no exact match, looks for any Contact at the same company domain (e.g., anyone @acme.com)
  3. Lead fallback — If no Contacts are found, looks for a Lead with that email

Once Rumi finds a match, it picks the best record in this order:

Priority Record Type Details
1st Opportunity The most recently updated open Opportunity on the matched Account
2nd Account If no open Opportunities exist
3rd Lead If no matching Contacts were found at all

Note: Personal email domains (gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc.) are ignored — Rumi only matches on business email domains.

This priority order can be configured for your organization. If you'd like to change which record type Rumi prefers, reach out to Customer Success.
