Performance Reviews play a crucial role in creating fair, consistent, and unbiased evaluations of employees. However, conducting performance reviews calibrations in a remote work environment can bring some challenges, such as difficulty building trust and effective communication, limited face-to-face interaction, and reduced opportunities for observation and collaboration.
To overcome these obstacles, it is crucial to have access to the right tools and resources that can facilitate the calibration process. This is where Rumi comes in, offering the solution that makes it easy and convenient to run effective calibrations and promotion committee meetings.
<aside> 🔬 What is a Performance Calibration Review? A Performance Calibration Review is a meeting where HR representatives and managers discuss ratings of employees based on predetermined criteria. The purpose is to identify any potential biases or inconsistencies and make adjustments to ensure fairness and accuracy. During the meeting, each manager will have a conversation with the HR manager to discuss ratings and adjust them as needed. Rumi provides a platform to facilitate the process and help ensure effective and efficient communication.

It is important to understand that this type of calibration is designed to ensure that all managers are rating employees fairly and consistently. The HR manager should ask the employee to set up and host the Rumi meeting and share links with all other managers involved in the calibration. All other managers should then join the queue in order. Each manager will have a 5-minute (or 10-minute if direct reports are more than 5) conversation with the host to discuss the performance of the employee being reviewed.
