Need to walk through a deck or demo a product? Rumi's screen sharing feature lets you present your screen to all meeting attendees with just a click.

To share your screen:

  1. Click the "Share Screen" button in your Rumi meeting toolbar
  2. Select whether to share your entire screen, a specific window, or a Chrome tab
  3. Click "Share" to start broadcasting your screen to the meeting
  4. To stop, click "Stop Sharing" in the toolbar

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Join the live meeting. To use screen sharing, you need to join a live session as a host or guest. You can start screen sharing as soon as the meeting begins.

  2. Click on the screen sharing icon. Once you're in the live session, you'll see a screen-sharing icon in the toolbar. Click on it to start sharing your screen.

  3. Select the screen or window to share. After clicking on the screen sharing icon, you'll be prompted to select the screen or window you want to share. Choose the one you want, and click on "Share.".

    In most browsers, you will see options like "Your Entire Screen," "Application Window," or "Tab.".

    "Your Entire Screen" allows you to share everything displayed on your monitor(s), including multiple screens if you have them. "Application Window" lets you choose a specific application to share. It will display a list of open applications, and you can select the one you want to share. "Tab" allows you to share a specific browser tab that you have open on your browser.

    Take a moment to consider what you want to share. If you're unsure, here are some tips to help you decide:

  4. Control screen sharing. As a host or producer, you have control over the screen-sharing feature. You can pause, resume, or stop screen sharing at any time. As a guest, you can only start and stop screen sharing.

  5. View the shared screen. Once someone starts screen sharing, you'll be able to see their shared screen or window on your screen.

  6. Stop screen sharing. To stop screen sharing, click on the screen sharing icon in the toolbar again and select "Stop sharing."
